Responsibilities
-Draft and maintain engineering standards and procedures for site operations, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
-Collaborate with the project team to assist in the development and review (squad check) of engineering plans, drawings, and specifications for new and ongoing projects.
-Collaborate with the reliability team to assist reliability assessments for all equipment and systems, identifying potential risks and implementing strategies to improve reliability and performance.
-Collaborate with the maintenance team to oversee and monitor site activities to ensure compliance with engineering designs, specifications, and safety standards.
-Provide technical support and guidance to contractors, project managers, and other site personnel during project execution.
-Conduct site inspections and surveys to verify that construction and maintenance work meets design specifications and quality standards.
-Coordinate with the project team to resolve technical issues, ensuring that project timelines and quality requirements are met.
-Monitor and report on project progress, identifying any potential delays or issues and implementing corrective actions as needed.
-Ensure that all engineering activities comply with regulatory requirements and company safety policies.
-Support the implementation of quality control and quality assurance procedures, including material testing and inspection.
-Document site activities, prepare technical reports, and maintain accurate records of all engineering work conducted on site.
-Collaborate with the maintenance and operations teams to integrate engineering solutions that enhance site efficiency and safety.
-Participate in project meetings and provide updates on site activities, progress, and technical challenges.
-Assist in the commissioning and handover of completed projects, ensuring that all documentation and certifications are in place.
Qualifications
-A Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Mechanical Engineering with EGBC.
-Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in mechanical design.
-Preference given to those with experience in mechanical design of material bulk loading/unloading in a waterfront, mining, heavy industry, or similar operation.
