Responsibilities
• Conduct user and behavioral field research to improve service experiences
• Develop journey maps, service blueprints, and process mappings
• Facilitate co-design workshops with stakeholders to identify user needs
• Design and test prototypes to enhance data access and analytics products
• Support the integration of data architecture solutions into existing services
• Analyze service performance and provide recommendations for optimization
• Collaborate with executives and frontline teams to drive service transformation
Qualifications
Mandatory Qualifications:
• 4 years of experience with a university graduation in computer science or a related discipline; OR
• 6 years of experience with a 2-year diploma in computer science or a related discipline; OR
• 7 years of experience with a 1-year certificate in computer science or a related discipline; OR
• 8 years of experience with a currently active professional certification or accreditation.
• 6 years of experience creating journey maps and service blueprints or other visual representations of user needs.
• 6 years of experience facilitating and leading co-design workshops.
• 8 years of experience using a human-centered design approach (UX, customer experience, service design, interaction design, etc.).
• 8 years of experience working with digital or data products (data pipelines, data user interfaces, data catalogues, data architecture, etc.).
• 8 years of experience working as a Service Designer on a project comparable in size and complexity to the service innovation, program review, and/or digital transformation projects (enterprise level)
Desirable Qualifications:
• 5 years of experience analyzing research data and presenting findings in diverse ways.
• 5 years of experience creating service metrics and measures.
• 5 years of experience moving through projects shifting focus from small details to understanding the whole system and the relationship between them.
• 5 years of experience planning, conducting, and analyzing behavioral/ethnographic field research to understand user, employee, and government needs and goals.
• 2 years of experience working in or for the public sector
