Responsibilities
•Completion of QA Deliverables: Deliver quality assurance activities as defined in the Deliverable Assessment Framework for project and maintenance release plans.
•Test Case Management: Build and maintain a repository of manually executed and/or automated test cases based on project requirements and change requests.
•User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Assist business users in conducting UAT.
•Performance Testing: Create and maintain performance testing initiatives, adhering to best practices.
•Quality Assurance: Ensure applications meet defined scope and project requirements through meetings with project stakeholders.
•Compliance: Ensure compliance with government IT policies, procedures, and security standards.
•Collaboration: Communicate regularly with project teams and participate in quality review sessions.
•Project Awareness: Stay informed about project direction and attend team and working group status meetings.
•Gap Analysis: Review project/release requirements and perform gap analysis.
•Support IT Projects: Work with IT resources during the design, development, and implementation of IT projects/releases.
•Documentation: Develop user documentation and procedures, as well as testing and defect reports.

Qualifications
Mandatory Requirements:
•A University degree in Computer Science, Health Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
•8+ years of demonstrated testing experience, including functional, performance, connectivity, regression, integration, and automation testing.
•8+ years of experience in quality assurance and system testing best practices and methodologies.
•Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
Scored Requirements:
•Security and Privacy: Experience in data confidentiality and client privacy related to databases and application design and development.
•Performance Testing: Proficiency in open-source performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter) for web applications and web services.
•SQL: Advanced experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) in a QA environment.
•QA Frameworks and Methodologies: Knowledge of QA frameworks and experience with project methodologies such as Waterfall, Waterscrum, and Agile.
•User Acceptance Testing: Experience in supporting UAT, including working with business owners, executing test cases, and defect reporting.
•Testing Tools: Experience with HP Quality Center, HP WebInspect, or similar tools.
•Automation Testing: Experience with Automation Testing tools (e.g., SOAPUI).
•Database Tools: Experience with database upgrades and using database comparison tools (e.g., SQL Data Examiner).
•Healthcare Experience: Experience working with Provincial Healthcare and Electronic Health Records applications in a Canadian context.
