- Accountable for providing progress reports to the V.P. of Construction on all aspects of project construction implementation performance.
- Collaborate directly with the Estimating Department on project budgeting and tendering.
- Review and approve project invoices promptly, coordinate with the Accounting department, and manage all cost control documentation.
- Offer leadership and guidance to the project team.
- Validate construction cost estimates; develop the schedule of values for budget and progress billing; regularly review labor and material budgets.
- Review and approve all trade contractor claims and project invoices.
- Report monthly to the V.P. of Construction on project status.
- Manage prime contracts, support the Estimating department in evaluating and negotiating subcontracts, integrate supplementary instructions (RFI/SI/CCN/CD), and assess their impact on the budget and schedule; negotiate and approve change orders.
- Provide regular progress reports to project stakeholders on all aspects of the project, including safety, quality, budget, schedule, and risk.

Responsibilities
Minimum 5 years of related experience on ICI projects $20M and above in contract value.
- Post-secondary education in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent.
- Previous experience working in the construction industry, particularly field work is desired.
- A track record that demonstrates effective leadership
- Working knowledge of contract terms and conditions.
- Fundamental understanding of project financial controls.
- Demonstrated competency with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- General understanding and commitment to QA/QC policies and procedures as well as Health and Safety practices /requirements.
- Design/build experience is an asset.
- Knowledge of estimating techniques and strategies is an asset.
- Experience with project or construction management software.
- Must be comfortable working within a deadline driven fast fast-paced environment.
- Driver's license and the ability to travel to job sites.
- Ability to obtain a Government of Canada 'Secret' security clearance is required
Qualifications
- Certification such as PMP, P.Eng, etc. is considered an asset.
- Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
