Responsibilities
Responsible for supporting the Logistics department with a variety of tasks that include (but not limited to):
- Process quotation requests from various sources
- Evaluate and pursue new customer and contract
- Set profit margins on various files, according to financial objectives.
- Negotiate rates with agents and carriers (ocean carriers, airlines, trucking companies)
- Select the most competitive rates and prepare quotations using Freightos software
- Follow-up on tight deadlines with customers
- Transfer customer files with operations once quotes have been accepted
Qualifications
- Diploma / Certifications in related Logistics / Transport programs
- 3 year of similar experience in Logistics pricing/quotes is preferred
- Exceptional customer service skills and negotiation skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task
- Bilingualism, French and English (very important)
