Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing technical projects, designing and developing new products, and improving existing ones.

Responsibilities
1. Manage Technical Projects: Lead cross-functional teams to design, develop, and launch new products and processes.
2. Design and Develop New Products: Create detailed designs, specifications, and prototypes for new products.
3. Improve Existing Products: Analyze and improve existing products to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance performance.
4. Perform Calculations and Layouts: Conduct complex calculations and create detailed layouts to ensure accurate and efficient design.
5. Maintain Product Designs: Review and update existing product designs to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications.
6. Create and Maintain Bills of Materials: Develop and maintain accurate bills of materials for new and existing products.
7. Review and Approve Work: Review and approve designs, specifications, and prototypes created by junior engineers and designers.
8. Provide Technical Support: Provide technical assistance and guidance to production staff, suppliers, and customers.
Qualifications
1. Education: University Engineering degree (P. Eng holder)
2. Experience: 10+ years of progressive engineering design and supervisory experience
3. Mechanical Design Experience: Proven experience in mechanical design, including design for manufacturability and assembly
4. Knowledge of Manufacturing Processes: Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, including closed die forging, stamping, machining, welding, and heat treatment
5. Software Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD and SolidWorks
6. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
7. Leadership Skills: Proven leadership skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams
