Responsibilities
- Perform freight services in accordance with company and government regulations.
- Plan and coordinate pickup and delivery schedules.
- Work with shippers, carriers and dispatchers to manage schedules.
- Track and report shipment status to customers.
- Manage multiple deliveries, handle ad hoc requests and develop new sales strategies to improve business.
- Resolve freight discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Respond to customer concerns and questions in a professional manner.
- Maintain a positive and productive relationship with customers.
- Identify and contact qualified carriers for freight services.
- Negotiate contractual and pricing agreements with carriers.
- Contact current and potential customers for new business opportunities.
- Maintain strong relationships with multiple carriers.
- Ensure freight documents are completed and approved prior to shipment.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience in the transport brokerage industry
- Bilingual French and English
- Dynamic, multitasking, sense of urgency, team player
- Strong communication, organization skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of computer system and Truckmate and Loadlink (Asset)
