We are seeking a Senior Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) Manager to lead and coordinate all safety, health, and environmental programs and activities to ensure a compliant and safe work environment. This role is key in driving SHE excellence across the site, focusing on achieving optimal safety and sustainability outcomes. The SHE Manager will develop and implement local strategies to ensure legal compliance and alignment with company standards. This role will be instrumental in reducing safety incidents and minimizing environmental impact. Additionally, the SHE Manager will manage SHE-related incidents on-site and provide guidance on SHE matters. This position is part of the Plant Management Team.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain local safety and environmental management systems.
Lead SHE incident management and oversee corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) related to risks and incidents.
Conduct SHE meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, and identify areas for improvement.
Provide guidance to employees, contractors, and visitors on health and safety, ensuring compliance with industry, local, state, and national regulations.
Collaborate with management to develop an Emergency Action Plan and serve as the primary contact for SHE incident notifications, investigations, and case management.
Integrate occupational health and safety considerations into business decision-making and risk management processes.
Advise on engineering and maintenance practices to improve safe working systems.
Promote a positive SHE culture by implementing safety programs and initiatives such as the 10 LSP’s, 1-2-5 principle, and Gemba safety talks.
Regularly audit compliance and assess SHE performance to drive continuous improvement.
Monitor and measure SHE metrics using the SHE Scorecard.
Qualifications & Skills
Master’s degree in Science, Engineering, or equivalent industrial experience.
Required qualifications by local regulatory authorities (based on location).
Project management experience.
ISO internal auditor or ISO auditor certification is a plus.
Familiarity with Lean/TPM tools and methodologies is a plus.
Proficiency in English required.
Knowledge of relevant standards such as ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or OHSAS 18001.

Certification in Occupational Health and Safety Management (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is a plus.

In-depth knowledge of safety and environmental management systems.
Industry Standards Knowledge:
