play a key role in financial controllership by offering advisory support, ensuring compliance with financial controls, and facilitating process improvements. Responsibilities
Provide expert financial controllership oversight for commercial and corporate banking operations.
Offer timely advisory support on accounting policies and financial controls.
-Lead and document current and future process maps for finance data flows from source systems to general ledger.
-Act as a key liaison between business programs and finance teams.
-Identify gaps in financial processes and collaborate on resolution strategies.
-Ensure compliance with accounting policies, IFRS, USGAAP, and regulatory requirements.
-Conduct thorough testing and reviews to support finance sign-offs on projects.
-Work cross-functionally with internal teams including Risk Management, Internal Audit, and Controllership.
-Ensure financial reporting functionality and internal controls meet high standards.
-Maintain SOX compliance and implement necessary control enhancements.
Qualifications
-Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
-CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
-8+ years of relevant experience in the financial services industry, including finance projects, business analysis, and accounting functions.
-Strong knowledge of financial reporting, internal controls, and process optimization.
-Familiarity with ACBS (Advanced Commercial Banking System) and finance general ledger systems.
-Experience in project management, use case creation, and documentation of test scenarios.
-Understanding of commercial or corporate banking loans and operations is an asset.
-Proficiency in SAP ERP systems is a plus.
-Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
