Responsibilities
Reporting to the Controller, your duties and responsibilities will include;
- Manage and update standard costs, including bill of materials and routings.
- Create cost estimates for new items, collaborating with various departments to understand requirements and provide insights.
- Perform detailed analysis to aid decision-making, such as variance analysis, cost-benefit analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Track and evaluate costs to find opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements, working with cross-functional teams to identify areas of potential enhancement within operations and supply chain.
- Establish and maintain key performance indicators to monitor operational performance and regularly report to management.
- Be prepared to take on additional tasks and roles within the department as needed.
- Assess and report on capital expenditures.
- Generate regular reports for various departments concerning variances, labour hours, downtime, efficiency, labour costs, line time usage, volumes, and material usage.
- Analyze costs and projections and contribute to the budgeting process.
- Engage in inventory management, auditing, and reporting tasks as required.
- Validate data to ensure accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures, working with departments to meet regulatory requirements and internal control practices.
- Lead or support projects and tasks both within and outside the department.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- CPA- designation with at least 5 years of experience in manufacturing or plant cost accounting, ideally within the Food/Beverage industry.
- Proficiency in managing multiple currencies.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, along with the capacity to meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
- A strong work ethic and a positive, collaborative team attitude.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Keen attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Outstanding skills in data analysis, reporting, and presentation.
