Responsibilities
-Manage LTIP (Long-Term Incentive Plan) and stock-based compensation accounting on a monthly and quarterly basis, including financial disclosures.
-Handle STIP (Short-Term Incentive Plan) – bonus accounting, monthly accrual, and FP&A forecast alignment.
-Participate in the financial close process, including running financial statements, trial balances, and reconciling post-close entries.
-Prepare quarterly consolidated balance sheet analytics and commentary summarization.
-Assist with the review of junior team members' month-end entries and reconciliations as needed.
Qualifications
-Accounting designation (CPA) with 2-4 years of post-designation experience outside of a public accounting firm.
-Experience in public accounting and obtained CPA while working at the firm.
-Strong understanding of consolidation accounting.
-Proficient in Excel; able to run models (no macros or convoluted formulas needed).
-Effective communication and teamwork skills.
-Must be located in Calgary and able to work in the office 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday); vehicle required.
