Responsibilities
Job Description: This position is responsible for working with close to 100 application owners to devise migration strategies to mitigate downtown and outages. Scope may include deployment plans, post-migration testing, and high-availability and disaster recovery setups. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience and possess a deep understanding of data center migration best practices, project management methodologies, and stakeholder engagement strategies.
Collaborate with the IT team, business stakeholders, and vendors to develop a comprehensive migration plan that aligns with the company's business objectives and technical requirements.
Conduct a thorough analysis of the existing data center infrastructure, applications, and data repositories to identify potential risks and challenges associated with the migration.
Develop and implement a detailed migration strategy that addresses data security, compliance, and performance requirements.
Select and implement appropriate migration tools and technologies in collaboration with vendors and subject matter experts.
Assist the migration team in executing the migration plan, ensuring that all data is transferred accurately, securely, and within the specified timelines.
Assist with continuously monitoring the migration progress, identify potential issues, and make necessary adjustments to the plan as required.
Manage stakeholder expectations, provide regular updates on the migration status, and address any concerns or questions promptly.
Document the migration process, including lessons learned and best practices, to serve as a valuable reference for future migrations.
Qualifications
Additional Skills ""Nice to Have""
Bachelor's degree or accreditation in business analysis, information technology, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in business analysis, with a specialization in data center migration projects.
Proven track record of successfully leading complex data center migration initiatives.
Strong project management skills, including experience with Agile methodologies and stakeholder engagement.
Advanced skills in Jira and Confluence.
Expertise in data security, compliance, and performance optimization.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex technical information to a diverse audience.
Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
