Responsibilities
- Guide and inspire managers and their teams to excel in operations and customer satisfaction. Cultivate a culture of ongoing improvement, teamwork, and professional development.
- Craft and execute the strategic plan for the Asset Recovery and Administration departments, ensuring it aligns with the company's goals.
- Take charge of resolving escalated customer and account issues swiftly and effectively. Assist managers in managing complex or high-profile cases while maintaining strong client relationships.
- Ensure adherence to industry regulations, including the Personal Property Security Act (PPSA), Redemption rules, and the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act. Lead risk mitigation initiatives, ensure compliance, and support audit processes.
- Partner with internal departments, key stakeholders, external partners, and clients to enhance recovery and remarketing processes, address SLAs, and drive continuous improvement across the organization.
- Lead initiatives to streamline asset recovery processes, incorporate best practices, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to influence technology solutions that boost operational efficiency, resilience, and productivity.
- Develop and implement performance management systems, set KPIs that align with organizational objectives, and ensure accountability across the team.
- Build and nurture strong client relationships, ensuring a customer-focused approach while meeting business goals. Provide regular updates to senior management on performance, trends, and innovation opportunities. Represent the department in senior leadership meetings, presenting strategies, results, and recommendations to drive growth and improve outcomes.
- Organize and lead regular team meetings, fostering a positive and dynamic work environment. Promote engagement and ensure alignment with corporate objectives.
Qualifications
Must-Have:
- 7-10 years of experience in service operations, and 5 years in a leadership role within the financial services or auto financing industry
- Demonstrable experience with provincial regulations, PPSA, Redemption rules, and the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act.
- Proven knowledge of recovery strategies, operational efficiency, and process improvement. Strong analytical abilities, adept at using data to inform decisions.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
- Well-versed in asset recovery or lending software, with advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel and related applications.
Nice-to-Have:
- French/English bilingual
- Experience in Auto Financing Industry
