We’re currently looking for a Senior Accountant technician to join our client’s team in Montreal downtown. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the person will be responsible for managing the full accounting cycle for four branches and will also supervise two team members within the accounting department.

Responsibilities
Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet accounts
Monitor fixed assets, depreciation, prepaid expenses, etc.
Supervise accounts payable and receivable
Supervise a team of 2 Clerks
Manage work in progress and intercompany transactions
Account for payroll and benefits
Analyze general ledger accounts
Produce GST/QST reports and other required documents
Meet closing and reporting deadlines
Assist in the preparation of month-end and year-end files
Qualifications
5+ years' experience in a similar role
Education in accounting
Very good command of the full accounting cycle
At ease with Excel
Experience in distribution/manufacturing (an asset)
Supervisory experience (an asset)
Bilingual: French and English
