Responsibilities
As a Senior Accountant, and reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will be at the heart of our financial operations, responsible for:
- Orchestrating month-end close and journal entries
- Maintaining balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accurate representation of assets and liabilities
- Crafting financial statement working papers, insightful analysis, and commentary
- Proactively identifying operational efficiencies and business enhancements through in-depth analysis
- Coordinating financial reporting, understanding GAAP, and budget assumptions to ensure transparency
- Developing efficient processes and systems for capturing and reporting financial data
- Analyzing variances and collaborating with department managers to resolve discrepancies
- Delivering precise internal financial and performance reports to support departmental management
- Preparing external financial reports for stakeholders such as government bodies and banks
- Collaborating closely with business units to tailor financial reporting to changing business needs
Qualifications
- A University Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field
- A CPA designation or designation in progress, nearing completion
- 5-7 years of accounting experience, with 2-4 years of robust financial reporting experience
- You Excel in spreadsheets, data management, and reporting
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines
- Anticipate and proactively resolve challenges
- Communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally
- Possess a keen attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Embrace a collaborative, teamwork-oriented approach
- Adapt quickly and make independent decisions
- Demonstrate a strong appetite for continuous learning and staying current in a dynamic environment
- Understand business operations and build valuable partnerships
