Responsibilities
The Consultant will be responsible for providing the following Services:
•Assist with the delivery of the security solution design based on business, operational, technical and security requirements, as well as IT strategies
•Participate in all phases of the solution development life cycle to implement the required information technology, adding technical know-how, creativity and a seasoned perspective to initiatives and teams
•Assist with the facilitation of the evaluation and selection of hardware and software technology and product standards, as well as the design of standard configurations and their implementation and migration into operations
•Research and monitor security threats as they evolve in the industry and assess their impact on current security technologies and processes
•Contribute to the development of the overall Cyber Security Solution Architecture processes, tools, standards and templates
•Support the creation of solutions that meet the Cyber Security Program’s strategic and tactical objectives while adhering to enterprise architecture and standards
•Contribute to the integration of services, data flow and infrastructure architectures and ensure they are designed to meet evolving business/operational requirements and standards for reliability, scalability, and availability
•Assist with ensuring that the chosen solutions are closely aligned with the client’s cybersecurity initiatives and vision including securing of cloud-based solutions
•Other activities and deliverables, as required
Qualifications
The Consultant should have the following qualifications and skills:
•University degree or college diploma in computer science, IT engineering, or cyber security
•A minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated experience in a Cyber Security role in organizations using various high-availability solutions
•A minimum of ten (10) years of recent relevant work experience in the IT field
•A minimum of five (5) years of experience in developing solutions architecture
•A minimum of five (5) years of IT security experience
•A minimum of five (5) years of experience working in a cyber assessment program
•Demonstrated experience in the development and application of security policies and security technical standard
Additional Qualifications
The following will also be considered:
•Demonstrated experience with security Information and event management (SIEM) platforms (Splunk) and end-point detection and response (EDR) platforms (Tanium) is an asset
•Demonstrated experience in the implementation of cyber security solutions in Microsoft Azure is an Asset
•Demonstrated experience with different architecture and design techniques (e.g., object-oriented, top down, structured analysis and component-based design) and tools
•Demonstrated experience in the design and implementation of security solutions
