Responsibilities
The SAP Functional Consultant is required as the project continues through the Build to Deploy Phases. The resource will:
- Support the Record to Report team providing SAP knowledge/expertise/leadership.
- Lead the record to report process project-related activities.
- Analyze record to report processes and identify areas of improvement and how these can be addressed leveraging Standard SAP functionality.
- Identify linkages to other key processes to support reporting, e.g. budgeting.
- Work in collaboration with the Business Process Lead and vendor lead, informing the design, development and configuration of the SAP solution and its integration with SAP and non-SAP solutions.
- Support the testing cycles (Integration Test Cycle [ITC]1,2,3 UAT) tasks.
- Developing test script and test cases, identification of test data, test execution, participate in defect resolution, development of risk mitigation strategies, etc., and prepping for cut-over and Go Live and post live support.
- Support/participate in all the phases and relevant work streams of the project, including project planning, change management, communications, testing, training, Go‐Live and post Go‐Live support activities.
- Support delivery of the process designs, requirements, and fit/gap developed by the Systems Integrator (SI) during the design phase.
- Help validate proposed functionality and alignment to design with the Systems Integrator and also provide their experience in leading best practices.
- Provide leadership of business processes, accounting principles, systems configuration, enhancements and data to enable related processes.
Qualifications
Must Haves:
- 10+ years hands-on experience in a large project/program management with Government jurisdictions and or large private sector organizations.
- Expertise and experience in SAP S/4HANA modules; SAP Finance, Controlling, Asset Accounting, Accounts Payable, Project Systems, Funds Management, SAP Certification FI-CO would be an asset.
- Expertise in configuration of S/4 HANA modules including SAP Finance, Controlling, Asset Accounting, Accounts Payable, Project Systems, Funds
Management.
- Experience in delivering at least 2 end-to-end implementations.
General Skills:
- Extensive experience with traditional and innovative project management processes, techniques, tools across agile, waterfall, iterative methods and
associated tools.
- Strong knowledge of test methodologies.
- Project excellence spanning Governance, Definition, Planning, Project Management & Control, Financials and Close-out.
- Strong Proficiency in MS Office, specifically MS Excel.
- Ability to work in transformative programs.
- Tenacious and willing to support the team during peak volumes and workloads with various activities.
- Strong in process management and controls to minimize risk of exposure.
- Ability to lead efficient communication between all project stakeholders, including internal teams and clients.
- Ability to achieve business objectives through influencing and effectively working with key stakeholders.
