Responsibilities
Provide expert technical designs, interconnectivity scenarios across OPS locations, security consultation and integration and provide vendor negotiation skills to ensure connectivity to existing networks and the public switched telephony networks (PSTN), and provide expert technical design in large scale (+1000 site) networks in evaluating WAN, LAN, Wi-Fi, complex routing, voice quality, rate centre long distance implications, Session Border Control (SBC) interworking, inbound and outbound call routing, Software Defined Networking (SD-WAN) performance characteristics.
Qualifications
Must Haves:
- 10+ years of experience evaluating, analyzing and developing data and voice networks in large scale (1,000+ site) networks.
- Hands-on experience in architecture and design authority, and 8+ years expertise in MPLS/BGP routing, QoS deployment to support multimedia networking, WiFi deployment at enterprise scale, experience with Carrier Interconnect strategies and deployment, IP addressing and Autonomous System (AS) design and deployment.
Nice to Have:
- Prior experience with Gov't of Ontario Network
