Responsibilities
- Designing, developing and implementing front-end code, including user interface interactions and creating attractive and effective user interfaces.
- Required to translate technical systems specifications into working, tested applications, including developing detailed programming specifications, writing and/or generating code, compiling data-driven programs, maintaining, and conducting unit tests.
- Resolves and troubleshoots technical problems which arise during the use and operation of software packages, including technical assistance in implementation, conversion and migrations.
Qualifications
Must Haves:
- 10+ years' experience in the use of J2EE development tools: WebSphere Application Development environment (utilizing tools such as RSA or Eclipse, etc).
- 10+ years' experience Spring Framework, IBM WebSphere Application Server 8.x, JSP.
- 10+ UID development, Angular, CSS, Agile paradigm, usage of RSA.
- Extensive experience with IBM Urban Code tools.
- Extensive experience with responsive development and HTML5.
- Extensive experience coding for mobile devices.
- 10+ years of experience with developing J2EE applications in compliance with PCI and WCAG 2.0 Standards and bringing applications to AODA Compliancy.
- Experience with JAWS, WAI-ARIA, HTML 5.
- Previous experience with developing and supporting Driver, Vehicle and Digital Dealership Registration services in ServiceOntario web portal.
- Experience with Canada Post Address module, IBM Web Content Management and Government Payment Gateway.
Desirable Skills:
- Knowledge and experience with programming Internet-ready applications.
- Knowledge and experience in rapid application development (RAD) methodologies.
- Knowledge and understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies and practices.
- Experience with middleware and gateways.
- Experience reviewing, analyzing, and modifying product installation scripts, including encoding, testing, and debugging.
- Ability to provide post-implementation support and resolve any post-implementation technical issues.
- Experience conducting design walkthrough sessions with project team.
- Knowledge and understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards.
