Responsibilities
1. Collaborate with project team members during the requirements and design phases to develop comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases tailored to the DVS and Public Secure systems.
2. Provide expert guidance and create test strategies and plans for various types of testing, including functional, non-functional, and security testing, ensuring full coverage through a requirements traceability matrix specific to DVS and identity verification workflows.
3. Develop and execute test scenarios and manual test scripts, including scenarios for identity document validation, integration with client systems, and Public Secure functionalities; participate in test data preparation to simulate real-world use cases.
4. Manage defect identification, vendor defect resolution, and defect tracking related to DVS and Public Secure components using Azure DevOps/VSTS.
5. Utilize Azure DevOps/VSTS to produce detailed testing status reports and issue summaries, providing visibility into testing progress and defect resolution.
6. Document and maintain Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) specific to DVS and Public Secure implementations.
7. Work closely with the Product Owner, Project Manager, Business Analysts, and Systems Analysts to ensure QA deliverables align with the project scope, identity assurance levels (e.g., GO ICA IAL2), and established timelines.
8. Participate in defect review meetings, providing detailed analysis and recommendations for resolving issues in the DVS and Public Secure environments.
9. Conduct functional and non-functional testing, focusing on document verification accuracy, system performance, and scalability.
10. Perform AODA testing to ensure DVS and Public Secure meet WCAG 2.0 compliance for accessibility.
11. Carry out mobile testing to verify DVS usability and functionality on mobile platforms.
12. Conduct security testing to identify vulnerabilities in identity document verification processes and ensure compliance with privacy and security standards.
13. Manage test data, ensuring robust and realistic scenarios for DVS and Public Secure workflows.
14. Oversee test environment management to ensure systems reflect production-like conditions for DVS and client integrations.
15. Conduct data migration testing for scenarios where DVS integrates with legacy systems or client databases.
16. Perform additional testing as required to support DVS releases and client-specific needs.
17. Provide backup support for other QA team members as needed to ensure continuity during absences.
18. Develop QA checklists for program areas that integrate with Public Secure and DVS solutions.
19. Develop, maintain, and execute automated Selenium test scripts to ensure robust and efficient testing processes.
20. Brief Project Managers and IAM management on test strategies, test plans, and results, emphasizing findings related to DVS and Public Secure objectives.
Qualifications
Must Haves:
- 10+ years’ experience triaging, analyzing, diagnosing / troubleshooting, evaluating options, and resolving quality assurance problems, ideally those related to identity and access management enterprise-level systems.
- Demonstrated experience with implementing and supporting Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions, identity federations, identity provisioning, and multi-factor authentication systems using enterprise-grade identity management services such as Okta.
- 10+ years’ experience designing, developing, writing and executing test cases catering to large application implementations along with QA experience on COTS and/or SaaS-based systems
- Mixture of Automation and Manual testing - SaaS platform-related testing.
General Skills:
- Proven experience with enterprise-level online identity verification services, including platforms such as Interac, IDVerse, and Okta SaaS solutions, to support secure and efficient user authentication and verification.
- 10+ years’ experience with quality control and assurance methodologies and practices as applied to the implementation of applications with over 10,000 users.
- Experience developing test strategies and test plans.
- Extensive experience with testing web apps and working with HAR files.
- Experience testing RESTful API implementations by using tools such as Postman Databases and the SQL Language, JSON, XML, XSLT and XML schemas.
- EAI principles and technologies and data transformation techniques.
- Experience with Accessibility Ontario Disability Act (AODA) testing by using tools such as WAVE.
- Experience in analyzing test results and submitting detail bug descriptions using defect tracking tools such as Azure DevOps/VSTS.
