•Conduct in-depth design and testing for SOAP, WSDL, and REST APIs, and validate with tools like ReadyAPI, SoapUI, and Postman using Groovy scripting or parameter passing.
•Work with IBM API Connect to establish secure, standards-based web services.
•Provide technical expertise and situational appraisals, ensuring code adherence to best practices in security, performance, and manageability.
•Prepare clear technical artifacts and effective knowledge transfer to full-time staff.
•Support the project from requirements gathering to final integration in line with the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
•Lead the development of solutions to resolve technical gaps, escalations, or design challenges, delivering on schedule amid tight deadlines.
Qualifications
Must-Have Skills:
•Proven experience with web-based n-tier Java EE server environments, XML, SOAP, WSDL, REST, and API testing tools (ReadyAPI, SoapUI, Postman).
•In-depth knowledge of IBM API Connect platform and secure-by-design methodologies (PKI, X.509, OIDC).
•Strong background in analyzing, designing, and sustaining complex mission-critical systems, including proven ability in documentation, risk resolution, and leadership.
Additional:
•Familiarity with occupant/business registry systems or public sector contexts.
•Demonstrated customer relationship management in a technical capacity and ability to mentor junior team members.
