Responsibilities
•Prepare test strategies, plans, and test cases for functional and non-functional testing across multiple system modules.
•Lead and mentor junior testers, organizing test execution and ensuring proper documentation.
•Perform in-depth functional, integration, regression, and accessibility testing (WCAG 2.0) for COTS, web applications, APIs, and HL7-FHIR based solutions.
•Validate security components (e.g., SAML, JWT) and manage data-driven scenarios for high-volume, mission-critical systems.
•Develop automated scripts using tools such as Selenium; use SOAP-UI, POSTMAN, or query languages for API and web service testing.
•Log and track defects, create summary reports, and conduct triage sessions using tools like Jira or Confluence.
•Work closely with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements, ensure readiness, and verify user acceptance criteria.
•Produce test result artifacts, and performance and security testing reports, and ensure test data aligns with business rules.
•Propose improvements in QA processes, environment usage, and testing strategies.
•Participate in cross-functional meetings to address issues early in the SDLC, ensuring smooth releases and minimal defects in production.
Qualifications
•7+ years of experience as a QA specialist, planning and overseeing test efforts for complex systems.
•Proven track record testing COTS, in-house web applications, HL7-FHIR services, APIs, and data reporting solutions.
•Expertise in WCAG 2.0 accessibility testing, web service queries, and use of automation tools (e.g., Selenium, POSTMAN).
•Familiarity with structured methodologies and the full SDLC, including agile/DevOps processes.
•Experience leading defect logging, tracking, and reporting using tools like Jira or Confluence.
•Experience working on public health or large, mission-critical IT projects.
•In-depth knowledge of SQL and query languages for data validation and ad-hoc analysis.
•Effective communication, problem-solving, and leadership capabilities for cross-functional collaboration.
