- This role will provide technical expertise to support multiple projects under the client's projects.
- Support the business and operational requirements of the Ministries Partners related to radio communications during the delivery of this project.
- Provide support to the project team(s) and Ministry Partners to complete and manage all aspects of the program.
Qualifications
Experience and Skill Set Requirements
- Advancing the work items identified by senior members of the project team.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on mobile radio and telecommunication technologies, IT architecture, network security, WAN/LAN, and integrated solutions to meet client and business requirements.
- Provide guidance and support for the collaborative review, analysis, and finalization of the site design packages prepared by the vendor that identify the radio network design and implementation details for each Site.
- Coordinate site improvement activities (e.g. electrical, security, IT architecture, HVAC, etc.) at each site to meet the defined scope of work in alignment with the project schedule.
- Provide subject matter expertise with respect to programming, configuration, testing and deployment of end user equipment including dispatch consoles and portable and mobile radios.
- Support, review, and analysis of the radio system functionality, radio coverage and audio quality testing at each site to ensure alignment with defined project and operational requirements.
- Prepare and present technical documentation in support of the radio requirements, network technology, project deliverables and transition activities.
- Support the service management process development and implementation in collaboration with branch streams and Ministry Partners.
- Assist with the identification, analysis, and resolution of issues and problems identified during site preparation, equipment deployment and transition activities.
- Work collaboratively with the client and supplier representatives and in partnership with other branch streams to develop coordinated approaches/ solutions in support of network transition.
- Interact directly with ministry clients, business partners, and project team members to develop and maintain strong ongoing relationships, always looking for opportunities to improve client satisfaction.
- Attending ministry partner sites as required in support of issues resolution, site preparation, equipment deployment and transition activities.
- Strong knowledge of IT architecture and network security.
- Able to quickly absorb information.
- Able to build relationships within the project team and with key stakeholders.
- Knowledge of radio and/or telecommunications systems.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Problem solver: ability to identify and analyze risks, issues, and problems, develop mitigation options and present findings to senior team members.
- All roles procured are required to be cleared through the Contractor Security Clearance Process of the OPS.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in the implementation of large-scale public safety radio infrastructure projects.
- Strong communications skills, both written and verbal. Able to succinctly articulate key project information in a politically astute manner.
- Experience building reports to support decision-making on project scope, schedule, cost.
