Responsibilities
- Provide highly specialized senior technical knowledge and coordinate administration, monitoring, management, and implementation of configuration management and automation of processes;
- Provide expertise in working with the right tools and processes to build an efficient and effective automated environment for DevOps;
- Provide expertise in developing and implementing lifecycle management and vulnerability management best practices for Linux and Containerized environments such as Ubuntu and Docker;
- Provide expertise in automation for Linux and Docker infrastructure including the integration with orchestration and automation systems using Ansible, and Jenkins;
- Provide expertise in configuration management to keep track of software and operating system configurations;
- Provide expertise in writing code to replace manual infrastructure provisioning;
- Provide expertise in creating automated processes for system monitoring and alerting on downtimes, errors and similar events;
- Provide expertise with configuration of containerized applications in enterprise environments;
- Provide expertise with VMware-based virtualization and cloud services such as Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services;
- Deliver high-quality technical documentation - upgrade documents, run books, etc.
Qualifications
Must Haves:
- Ubuntu / RedHat Enterprise Linux configuration, design, installation and support experience;
- Enterprise management of Linux platforms including lifecycle, patching, monitoring and surveillance;
- Management and monitoring of docker-based workloads;
- Automation utilizing Python, ansible and Jenkins;
- Experience with network management platforms such as Netbox;
- Strong knowledge of virtualization platforms including VMware, and Cisco Hyperflex.
