Responsibilities
•BI Solution Development: Design and develop BI reports, dashboards, and query applications using Cognos 10 or higher and Microsoft Power BI.
•ETL & Data Integration: Migrate and transform data to Power BI-compatible formats using ETL tools (e.g., SSIS, Informatica).
•Data Analysis & Modeling: Support data profiling, cleansing, and mapping to optimize accuracy and performance.
•Reporting & Alerts: Implement guided analysis, drill-down functionality, and key-trend notifications for stakeholders.
•Collaboration: Work with business and IT teams to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and enhance existing data sets, models, and transformations.
•Knowledge Transfer: Document and share expertise with designated team members, ensuring smooth handovers and long-term solution sustainability.
Qualifications
•Demonstrated experience implementing and supporting BI solutions, including Cognos 10+ and Power BI.
•Proven ability to design ETL processes and migrate data to Power BI-compatible formats (e.g., using SSIS, Informatica).
•Strong background in Oracle SQL Server, or similar database technologies for data warehousing and integration.
•Excellent SQL scripting capabilities for data analysis, profiling, and performance optimization.
•Knowledge of data modeling, data migration, and best practices for large-scale BI solutions.
•Familiarity with agile or iterative development methodologies.
•Ability to create presentations and deliver insights to various audiences.
•Experience with troubleshooting production issues and creating fixes for unplanned deployments.
•Strong communication, problem-solving, and team collaboration skills.
