Responsibilities
•Develop test strategies, detailed test plans, test scripts, and test data for various phases of testing.
•Guide the selection of testing tools and best practices.
•Execute tests for data warehouses, data marts, ETL processes, and web applications.
•Use tools like QTP (Quick Test Pro), HPQC, and Azure DevOps for automation and defect tracking.
•Conduct functional, non-functional, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
•Test business intelligence reports (e.g., Cognos, Power BI) and ensure accurate data migrations.
•Validate ETL processes with tools like Informatica, SSIS, and SQL queries to confirm data integrity.
•Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test results, defect logs, and status reports.
•Participate in knowledge transfer sessions by storing final artifacts in version control repositories and walking through documentation with stakeholders.
•Work closely with project managers, developers, and business teams to identify missing requirements, resolve defects, and recommend improvements.
•Assist in investigating production defects, testing hotfixes, and optimizing system performance.
Qualifications
•Demonstrated experience with QTP (Quick Test Pro) v10.0, HPQC, and Azure DevOps.
•Strong data warehouse and ETL testing background, including Cognos, SSIS, Informatica, and Power BI.
•Proven track record in SQL (e.g., Oracle SQL, SQL Server) for database testing and troubleshooting.
•Familiarity with manual and automated testing methodologies, as well as testing best practices.
•Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills focusing on data integrity and performance.
•Experience testing Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) applications.
•Knowledge of AODA or WCAG compliance testing for web applications.
•Experience with large data migrations, including Cognos to Power BI transitions.
•Familiarity with screen readers (JAWS) or High Compliance Sheriff tools.
