Responsibilities
•Assess reported AODA testing defects, estimate remediation efforts, and direct resources to fix accessibility issues based on WCAG 2.1 guidelines.
•Collaborate with teams to review code, architectural impacts, and test strategies for compliance.
•Analyze web application complexity, produce high-level and detailed design documents, and guide teams on short- and long-term solution improvements.
•Provide cost estimates and lead solution design projects for new or existing systems, including multi-tier server applications and distributed architectures.
•Present design feasibility, alternatives, and recommendations to project teams, managers, and non-technical stakeholders.
•Coordinate with business analysts to transform requirements into technical solutions, ensuring synergy between technical strategies and business goals.
•Guide teams through system integration, ensuring solutions align with corporate standards and handle large-scale data, code changes, and performance tuning.
•Oversee solution deployments, monitor for functionality gaps, and propose improvements or automation opportunities.
Qualifications
•Substantial experience in web application analysis, estimation, design, and AODA compliance.
•Familiarity with WCAG 2.1 standards, accessibility testing tools (WAVE, NVDA, axe DevTools), and code inspection for multi-tier solutions.
•Expertise in Java, .NET, ASP.NET, IBM WebSphere, Oracle databases, and PL/SQL.
•Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies, plus ability to produce technical design docs for architecture reviews.
•Experience with SOA and advanced security design for distributed systems.
•Ability to estimate costs, perform solution feasibility studies, and integrate with enterprise standards.
