Responsibilities
- Conduct requirements gathering, develop documentation, including presentations and briefing notes and conduct partner engagement;
- Work with different partners and subject matter experts from different backgrounds (clinical, business, and technical);
- Interact with the business partners and subject matter experts in order to understand their requirements through gathering, documenting, and analyzing business and technology needs and requirements;
- Develop and document FHIR conformance testing strategy, implementation plan and supporting documentation.
Deliverables Include:
- Develop a project plan for the development of the conformance testing strategy and implementation project;
- Assess current state conformance testing processes, tools, scope, capacity and practices;
- Develop and present the conformance testing strategy including future state recommendations and necessary engagement with OH and external partners;
- Develop and present the implementation plan to support the execution of the conformance testing strategy;
- Participate in collaboration with the DHIEX team at partner meetings and workshops;
- Develop and present weekly reports of deliverables, time, and status updates;
- Provide knowledge transfer documents and conduct knowledge transfer sessions for all project deliverables with assigned Ontario Health subject matter experts;
- Follow Ontario Health and DHIEX guidelines for documentation, templates, and data storage and organization;
- Complete deliverables in adherence to Ontario Health guidelines for all communication, email, messaging, etc;
- Perform environmental scans, FHIR conformance testing research and presentation of results;
- Perform requirement elicitation, validation, and documentation, including reviewing and analyzing existing relevant processes and tools to inform the requirements for FHIR conformance testing strategy and implementation;
- Consult and collaborate with partners to develop a conformance testing strategy that includes tools, processes and best practices;
- Validate existing tooling for conformance testing of FHIR interoperability specifications.
Qualifications
Must Haves:
- 3+ years’ experience with digital health standards including but not limited to HL7 FHIR, clinical terminologies (e.g., SNOMED-CT, LOINC) and their application;
- 3+ years’ experience with FHIR conformance testing processes and tools;
- 3+ years’ experience with interoperability standards gap analysis, environmental scan and developing HL7 FHIR implementation guides;
- 3+ years’ experience with partner engagement and working with subject matter experts in order to understand their requirements through gathering, documenting, and analyzing business and technology needs and requirements.
Required Skills:
- FHIR standards assessment, selection, development, and maintenance processes;
- Research and analysis;
- Communication and collaboration;
- Partner engagement and management.
