Our client is looking for a Senior Specialized IT Consultant for a 6-month contract in Toronto. This is a hybrid role.

Responsibilities
- Works in partnership with internal customers, advising them on information technology in order to meet their business objectives or overcome problems
- Defines data strategy and provides guidance to improve structure and efficiency of I&IT systems
- Provides subject matter expertise in the field of Information Management & IT technology, in particular, data lake house, pipelines, and analytics
Qualifications
Must Haves:
- 5+ years leading teams implementing data pipelines and integrations
- 5+ years experience developing processes and procedures for implementing data strategy, integration, and ingestion
- Solid knowledge of modern data analytics and technologies (i.e. Microsoft Azure Datalake, Databricks, etc.)
General Skills:
- Acts as the technical advisor/expert on all aspects of data strategy
- Develops processes and procedures for implementing data strategy, integration, and ingestion
- Ensures data architecture and pipelines are built based on standard technology and follow approved patterns, and ensuring high quality, reliability, and performance
- Anticipates and resolves problems to ensure that the deliverables are completed within budget, to the highest quality, meeting or exceeding expectations
- Works with internal clients to define the requirements for data and integrations
- Prepares reports and presentations including options, recommendations, implementation plans, etc.
- Familiar with change-management principles and methodology
- Knowledge and understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies and practices
- Continuous improvement mindset
