Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing I&IT infrastructure initiatives, including IT enhancements, IT Infrastructure life cycle management, IT Operations, and business applications.
- Establishes, manages, and directs resources to ensure the necessary level and capabilities are represented on the enhancements to ensure successful delivery of the initiative.
- Ensures that I&IT projects and programs for new, replacement or enhanced infrastructure, maximize customer service, satisfy internal stakeholder requirements, incorporate external agency requirements, and serve public interests.
- Create, manage new changes for assigned projects.
- Present changes at the CABs.
- Leads the reviews and approvals assessment, mitigation, and communication of associated project risks.
- Act as the primary point of contact throughout the implementation process; escalate needs, issues, concerns as appropriate.
- Define and maintain the implementation plan with inputs from all stakeholders.
- Assist the technical team throughout the new enhancements.
- Collaborate and bring forward ideas and insights in team meetings.
- Anticipate bottlenecks and escalate issues when required to ensure on-time delivery.
- Reviews and evaluates studies, reports, design proposals, specifications, and contract documents, to meet established policies, procedures, and standards applicable to projects.
- Develops and delivers reports and presentations defining plans, issues, status, and resolutions to appropriate levels of management.
- Provide regular updates to I&IT Management on various activities related to I&IT enhancements service providers, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are delivered and status is reported in a timely and accurate manner.
- Leads and partners with various vendors to deliver agreed solution outcomes.
Qualifications
Must Haves:
- 8+ years of related I&IT projects, currency, and Life cycle management experience, preferably in leading IT Infrastructure projects and technology related environments;
- Demonstrated progressive experience in Technology enhancements, Infrastructure planning, prioritization, and risk management;
- Experience implementing both IT Infrastructure, Applications, and Software systems would be beneficial.
Desired Experience:
- Familiar with Agile and scrum methodologies is an asset;
- Knowledge on various vendor technologies by Microsoft, Cisco, HPE would be an asset;
- Knowledge of ITSM process, Service Now.
