Responsibilities
- Develops, recommends, implements, and manages the technical architecture (hardware, software, database network, security and communications) and specification used as design standard(s) for all or specific applications in a large, distributed cross-platform environment;
- Responsibilities also include the identification of relevant information and the determination of the systems, devices, and technology environment(s), which will be used to reflect existing as is and planned to be design, development, and implementation;
- Development of standards specifications document(s) to support technology compliance; and
- Role requires travel by personal vehicle as needed.
Qualifications
Required Specialized Skills and Experience
- 5+ years' experience with multiple different building control system platforms, including, devices, controllers and communications protocols supporting: (1) secure site access systems, (2) building automation systems, (3) fire-life safety systems, including monitoring, control, and integration;
- 3+ years' experience in implementation of systems supporting open standards like BACNET, MODBUS, MQTT (Message Queuing Telemetry Transport), SCADA (all required) plus experience with at least one of these open standards: KNX, IEC 62443, ISA99, NIST SP 800-82 etc;
- 5+ years' experience with automation and control systems including hands on integration, implementation of API’s, networking design, and security in shared corporate and vendor hosted scenarios;
- 5+ years' experience in structured methodologies for the design, development and implementation of secure field monitoring and control devices, connectivity, integration, and applications;
- 5+ years' experience in developing enterprise architecture deliverables (e.g. models) based on Enterprise Architecture processes and practices, conceptual, logical and/or physical processes and data models;
- Experience developing, recommending, implementing and managing technical architecture;
- Experience in the use of Computer Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools and other software tools such as project management tools;
- Awareness of emerging technologies, trends and directions;
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills;
- A team player with a track record for meeting deadlines;
- Knowledge and understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies and practices; and
- Experience with facilities engineering.

- Extensive experience in systems analysis and design in large multi-domain system environments;
- Experience defining performance measurement methods, SLA’s, and specifications across different domains and environments;
- Knowledge and understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies and practices;
- Knowledge and experience with processes supporting Service Management, ITIL, and operations;
- Experience translating business requirements into system specifications and reporting;
- Experience preparing conceptual, logical and/or physical processes and data models; and
- Experience developing, recommending, implementing, and managing technical architecture specifications including developing enterprise architecture deliverables.
