Responsibilities
Adhere to all Health and Safety regulations while performing job duties.
Load and unload trucks, including 50’ pipe truckloads, using forklifts and other material handling equipment.
Receiving Responsibilities:
-Verify received shipments against packing slips, noting any discrepancies or damage.
-Print and confirm computer-generated receiving documents, then update records accordingly.
-Identify and properly store special order or damaged materials.
Picking, Packing, and Shipping Responsibilities:
-Pick materials for customer orders, ensuring accuracy against shipping documents.
-Properly assemble and pack orders for pickup or shipment.
-Complete necessary documentation for third-party shipments or hazardous materials transport.
-Report inventory discrepancies and damaged/defective materials affecting customer service.
-Maintain warehouse cleanliness by disposing of empty cartons, metal banding, pallets, and other debris.
-Notify the Warehouse Supervisor or Profit Centre Manager of any safety concerns.
-Coordinate with the Warehouse Supervisor on product organization.
-Assist teammates with customer service at the counter.
-Support sales staff in fulfilling customer requests related to product packaging.
-Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Profit Centre Manager.
Qualifications
•Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
•A minimum of 3 years of warehouse experience
•Rough Terrain Forklift experience
•Outstanding customer service and verbal communication skills
•Able to develop comprehensive product knowledge
•Ability to learn to safely operate a forklift and any other material handling equipment
•Possess a high level of attention to detail
•Able to learn and operate the applicable software system used to process orders
•Intermediate math skills
