Responsibilities
•investigating existing manual or computer systems/work procedures, establishing criteria for system evaluation and developing conceptual design alternatives;
•assessing effects on databases; hardware and software; may develop specifications for new or modified application systems;
•designing or coordinating the design of inputs, outputs, controls and datafile structures, developing mathematical/technical models and using simulation techniques;
•writing, modifying and testing the software ensuring conformance with system objectives and interface with related computer systems, etc.;
•evaluating and interpreting results of system, proposing alternative design, changes or modifications and preparing report on findings;
•defining study parameters and identifying objectives and scope;
•researching and collecting information from a wide variety of sources including external publications and research and existing methods, computer systems, inputs, outputs and functions;
•developing study methods and preparing project proposal(s);
•performing technically complex calculations or writing computer programs for assessment of technical data;
•evaluating the results;
•interpreting the results and preparing a report on findings;
•making recommendations and presenting insights to stakeholders around reliability and asset health performance.
Qualifications
A minimum five years of working experience in Oracle Database Development or equivalent.
2 years or more progressive experience in data analytics programming (e.g. SAS, R, Java, Python languages, etc.), SQL database queries, Tableau, Power BI, data modelling, data analysis, and survey & evaluation skills.
Intermediate technical skills in the following areas:
o .Net Framework, JavaScript, HTML and Oracle
o Oracle and Postgres SQL
o Oracle database and MS SQL Server database tuning and performance monitoring
• Excellent working knowledge of data management including permissions, recovery, security, and monitoring
• Excellent working knowledge of software development and user interface web applications
• Excellent communication skills for professional environment, written and spoken
