Responsibilities
Registered Pharmacy Technician - Vancouver, BC
Your typical day !
- Process prescriptions accurately, including data entry, scheduling refills, medication preparation, and technical release.
- Maintain drug inventory: purchase, receive, check expiration dates, and conduct inventory counts.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, physicians, and clinic staff, mainly via phone/email.
- Ensure proper storage of medications, including those requiring specific temperature controls.
- Contribute to the review and improvement of Pharmacy Operations policies and procedures.
- Manage dispensing and shipping schedules efficiently.
- Handle account payments and receivable statements.
- Resolve third-party insurance issues to ensure timely prescription processing.
- Monitor fridge temperatures and report variances to the Pharmacy Manager.
- Perform medication compounding if the site offers this service.
- Participate in staff meetings.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager.
Qualifications

- Registered Pharmacy Technician by the College of Pharmacists of BC.
