Responsibilities
Quality Management Across Locations:
- Oversee and ensure the implementation of consistent quality management processes across
three manufacturing sites.
- Develop, monitor, and enforce quality policies and procedures to maintain compliance with ISO
9001 and other applicable standards.
- Conduct regular visits to all manufacturing facilities to ensure quality systems are effectively
implemented and maintained.
• ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 Certification:
- Lead the efforts to maintain ISO 9001 (Quality Management) and ISO 14001 (Environmental
Management) certifications across all locations.
- Prepare for and manage internal and external audits, ensuring timely corrective actions for any
identified non-conformities.
• Customer and Vendor Quality:
- Collaborate with customers to meet or exceed their quality expectations and requirements.
- Participate in and manage customer-required quality audits, addressing findings and
implementing improvements.
- Develop and oversee vendor quality assurance programs, including qualification, performance
monitoring, and corrective action processes.
- Review and approve all necessary documentation for initial sample submissions including APQP,
PPAP, ATP, customer-specified documents, and any other required documentation.
• Environmental and Sustainability Initiatives:
- Drive environmental and sustainability programs to ensure compliance with ISO 14001 standards
and other regulatory requirements.
- Identify opportunities to enhance sustainability practices across all locations, including waste
reduction, energy efficiency, and resource conservation.
- Report on environmental performance metrics and lead corporate sustainability goals.
• Continuous Improvement:
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, process efficiency, and
customer satisfaction.
- Use tools such as root cause analysis, Six Sigma, and lean manufacturing to address quality issues
and prevent recurrence.
Apply process improvement tools including statistical process control, process mapping, control
charts, design of experiments, Lean methodology and process capability studies.
• Team Leadership and Development:
- Build and mentor a high-performing quality team, fostering professional growth and
development.
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and quality excellence across all levels of the
organization.
- Work closely with other organizational departments (including sales, supply chain,
manufacturing, maintenance, etc.) to drive continual improvement within the organization.
Assist in ensuring compliance to internal, customer, supplier, legal and compliance obligations.
• Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for quality management systems, audits, and corrective
actions.
- Prepare and present regular reports on quality performance, audit findings, and environmental
metrics to senior leadership
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree/Technical Diploma in Engineering or related field or a combination of experience and
education.
- 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Production and or Engineering in Manufacturing setting.
- Proven application of continual improvement within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards, with experience leading certification and audit
processes.
- Project management skills to develop project scopes, specifications, schedules, timelines, and deliverables
- Experience with Product Quality Planning (PQP), Failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA), Statistical
Process Control, (SPC), Metrology and Control Plans, statistical sampling methods (ANSI, MIL-STD, etc.)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Familiarity with environmental regulations and sustainability practices in manufacturing.
- Proficiency in quality management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
