Responsibilities
- Support achievement of key metrics, including quality, safety, environment, productivity, lean, cost and
employee development, through process change and continuous improvement activities
- Develop process related quality, environment, safety procedures, training materials and assist in
implementation including review and development of appropriate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs),
Work instructions, Std Work etc. with effective training to employees.
- Interact and operate within established Document Control system
- Root cause analysis and implementation of corrective/preventive actions for non-conformances/process
related concerns including resolution of issues related to customer, supplier, and internal process nonconformances.
- Apply process improvement tools including statistical process control, process mapping, control charts,
design of experiments, lean methodology and process capability studies
- Work with customer and supplier Quality Team(s) and create link between operational requirements,
capabilities, and performance.
- Support and lead internal/supplier development and ensure documentation supports activities
- Review and approve all necessary documentation for initial sample submissions including APQP, PPAP,
ATP, customer-specified documents, and any other required documentation.
- Perform internal audits and support exter
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or Technical Diploma in engineering related field (preferably Mechanical)
- Experience in Quality Assurance, Production, Lean, and or Engineering in a manufacturing setting an asset
- Capable of presenting data, methods, findings, and remediation effectively across broad audiences both
internally and externally
- Auditing experience within a manufacturing environment (ISO 9001, 14001 training) considered an asset
- Technical Writing skills relative to SOPs and Work Instructions considered an asset
- Project management skills to develop project scopes, specifications, schedules, timelines, and deliverables
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Solid verbal and written communication skills
- Manufacturing environment experience an asset
