Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain inspection methods and reports, including CMM programs
- Ensure compliance to customer and company standards and specifications
- Monitor the quality of incoming materials and finished products
- Dimensional evaluation of parts using appropriate equipment, gauges, and fixtures
- Monitor process, product, and quality system performance
- Identify areas for quality improvement and implement new methods
- Support all departments in dimensional data collection
- Prepare and maintain test data
- Evaluate data and draft reports
- Compile PPAP/First Article submissions
- Participate in research and development projects
- Train operators and quality inspectors
- Participate in cross-functional team activities, including APQP
Qualifications
Educational Requirements:
- University degree and/or post-secondary education in a related discipline or equivalent experience
Required Skills & Expertise:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a quality-related function
- Good knowledge of fundamentals, principles, and management of quality functions
- Good planning, organizational, and communication skills
- Good knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and other quality assurance techniques
- Experience with ASME Section VIII and Section IX Welding
- Weld Inspection to ASME or equivalent
