Responsibilities
The Shareholder Services department is responsible for maintaining the records for investors of various Investment Companies that offer investments such as Mutual, Segregated and Pooled Funds. Along with maintaining records, reporting is provided to unitholders, all in accordance with government policies, tax laws and national policies
•Perform quality control for all financial and non-financial transactions that flow to the QC queue with a high level of accuracy for Mutual Funds, Segregated Funds and Pooled Funds. ( CASH, RRSP, TFSA, Income Fund and RESP accounts)
•The contract staff will not be trained on Income Fund, RESP and a portion of the SEGFunds.
- Review various types of mutual and pooled fund investor transactions for errors from internal processing
- Review reports of trade rejections and provide explanation to internal partners as required
- Report errors, trade rejections and electronic transfer of funds issues within the internal database to capture data for reporting purposes
Qualifications
Must-have Skills/Experiences and/or Education, certifications, qualifications, designations:
•Mutual Funds/Segregated Funds industry experience required
•Strong attention to detail
•Highly motivated, detailed, and deadline orientated
•Strong team player, resolute for team’s success
•Committed to ‘First Time Right’ quality initiative
•Able to quickly learn new concepts and processes
•Able to multi-task and prioritize with varied functions and
•workload
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills (French is
• a definite asset)
•Ability to work overtime – during the week and on weekends
Nice-to-have Skills/Experience and/or Education, certifications, qualifications, designations:
•Funds industry experience required
•Knowledge of Unitrax record keeping system preferred
•French bilingualism is definitely an asset
•Understanding of registered products desired
Experience in an imaging/workflow environment an asset
