Responsibilities
Contribute to the profitability of optimizing purchases and services to stay within the allocated budget.
Complete purchase orders for parts/services and receive goods in SAP when required.
Monitor inventory levels for maintenance parts, perform stock counts, and assist in organizing the warehouse.
Work with the accounts payable department to resolve payment issues, track parts, and improve the ordering process. Follow up on certificates, inspections, and analyses required for SQF certification and ensure proper communication.
Coordinate with the maintenance manager to meet department requirements.
Support offices and production by managing supply and service orders.
Oversee the employee store, conduct inventory counts, collect final accounts, and plan store openings.
Follow up with cleaning service providers for office maintenance.
Manage incoming and outgoing mail, including Purolator shipments.
Collaborate in updating the collective agreement and/or any other strategies related to the Montreal plant.
Qualifications
Education: DEC in purchasing management, inventory management, and planning, or any relevant training.
Experience: 2 to 3 years of experience in similar roles.
Technical Knowledge:
MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) and raw materials purchasing.
Quality program management (HACCP, SQF).
Health and safety programs (5S).
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze, synthesize information, and make informed decisions.
Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong listening skills.
Organization and Interpersonal Skills:
Excellent work organization.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team.
Computer Skills:
Proficiency in MS Office.
Knowledge of SAP is an asset.
Languages: Basic proficiency in French and English.
