Purchasing Agent

Responsibilities
As a purchaser agent for this great company located in Mississauga, a normal day would include:
- Order the materials in the ERP system for the production team and produce scheduled
- Collaborate with the plant manager to maintain the production schedule and plans
- Work with the plant manager to meet production goals, address any production issues that may arise, and develop cost-effective solutions to meet customer expectations.
- Communicate with the vendors and suppliers regarding changes in materials needed to support production needs.
- Utilize the ERP system to organize and track production activities, including inventory, schedules, and quality control.
- Monitor and manage resource utilization to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications

- Experience working as an purchaser agent or related role in the manufacturing sector
- Are organized and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Have strong communication skills and can collaborate seamlessly with the production team and others.
- Experience working with any ERP Systems.
- Bring problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset to the table.
- Have a high attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Must be self-motivated and function as a positive team member.
- Knowledge of label production is an asset.
