Responsibilities
• Works closely with the project team, the steering committee, and multiple working groups to manage
the project, including:
- Initiation, planning, implementation and reporting on the Budget Management Transformation project
- Development of the Budget Management Framework
- Supporting and managing the inputs and interests of all branches
- Planning, development and implementation of relevant commission-wide training
- Defining and document relevant roles & responsibilities
- Defining and implementing accountability mechanisms
• Manages and implements projects through all phases of the project management life cycle within the
defined measures of success and the accepted standards and deliverables.
• Supports initiation and business case development, determines project scope, defines deliverables, and
develops project charters to align with the direction of the program.
• Supervises project staff including assignment of work and supports functional supervisors by providing
feedback on performance and development activities as assigned.
- Consults with working group members to manage competing inputs and resource requirements,
escalating issues to senior management where necessary.
Qualifications
•Minimum 5 years of project management experience with;
-experience leading an enterprise-wide initiative(s) in a large complex environment,
-full cycle project management experience including ideation, business case development, implementation, monitoring, project close-out and post project evaluation,
-experience in the use of business process systems, business reporting design and development, data management, and new systems implementation,
-project management methodologies, including waterfall and agile project management.
• Knowledge and experience with public sector financial and forecasting requirements.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to provide strategic insights and recommendations.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results within deadlines.
• Knowledge of advanced analytics and business intelligence tools for financial reporting and decisionmaking.
