As a Project Financial Analyst with our client, you’ll receive:

Responsibilities
Support the financial team across several projects:
- Reviewing the operating budget, forecasting and monthly invoices for the department
- Reconciling invoices with their respective statement of works before payment
- Using the company’s budget management system to create purchase orders, adding new vendors and approving invoices
Identifying and investigating the monthly variances to budget and forecast and presenting the variances to the team
- Weekly overview of the forecast and budget spend to date
Communicate and collaborate with colleagues only if required support is needed in the following tasks:
- Schedule meetings, workshops, and team events to support the team
- Take and distribute meeting notes and organize follow up items, actions, and sessions
- Support Program Managers and Project Managers with recruitment when required
- Manage Program documentation, and consolidate document platforms to ensure simplicity and increase ease of finding documents
- Coordinate new team member onboarding and ensure all administrative tasks are completed in a timely manner
In collaboration with our teams, organize, deliver, and participate in Program Team activities and celebrations
Acting as a liaison for all projects to all internal users as well as vendors.
- Request information from vendors on SOWs, invoices, resourcing
- Schedule and hold meetings with internal and external stakeholders
- Communicate issues with budgeting, forecasting and variances with required team members
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business - Administration, or similar
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience required
- Strong financial background; exceptional analytical skills; knowledge of Excel is required
- Proven ability to prioritize and handle multiples task in a time sensitive manner
- Demonstrated knowledge of best practice project management methodologies and a desire for continuous improvement
- Working knowledge of Smartsheet, SharePoint, and the MS Suite. - Hyperion, Oracle, or large financial planning software knowledge is a plus
- Must be analytical, flexible, team-oriented
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Very strong organization and follow-up capabilities
- Understanding of software development frameworks and technologies
Bonus asks
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- Jira and Confluence mastery
