Position Details:
Title: Project Coordinator & Estimator
Schedule: Full-time, weekdays from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Salary: $85,000 + benefits
Location: East Montreal

Responsibilities
Here are the responsibilities of the Project Coordinator and Estimator for the position in Montreal:
Plan and specification analysis: Review architectural and engineering plans, examine project technical specifications, identify potential issues, and make necessary adjustments to accurately calculate quantities and pricing.
Proposal preparation: Develop and draft budget proposals for bids, ensure estimates align with client and project requirements, and present and defend submissions to clients or decision-makers.
Monitoring and adjustments: Reassess costs based on project changes, collaborate with project managers and engineers to adjust budgets, and track discrepancies between initial estimates and actual costs.
Support the sales team in Ontario and Western Canada by participating in cost estimates for large projects and providing estimation training.
Collaborate with architects and contractors to adjust plans according to ventilation requirements.
Conduct presentations and training for internal and external partners on the company's expertise.
Qualifications
For this Project Coordinator and Estimator role in Montreal, the required skills are:
Knowledge of construction and architecture to read plans and collaborate with architects and general contractors.
1 to 3 years of experience in building estimation (structure, roofing, building envelope).
Strong communication skills to provide training.
Proficiency in English, as this role involves collaborating with the sales team across English-speaking Canada and working with clients mainly in Ontario and the West.
Autonomous and proactive, with the ability to follow up effectively and take initiative.
