Responsibilities
•Supporting and maintaining the Client Service Delivery System (CSDS) used in public health and mental health services
•Enhancing the system by adding new features or fixing existing bugs
•Writing and updating PL/SQL packages and Java code
•Conducting unit, functional, and regression testing
•Participating in user experience/interface design
•Developing and optimizing SQL queries, views, stored procedures, and triggers
•Creating and maintaining technical documentation and functional specifications
•Performing system analysis, design, development, integration, and configuration
•Ensuring secure coding and design practices
•Collaborating with team members to improve performance and user support
•Supporting service management activities (e.g., incident, change, and release management)
•Participating in code testing and documenting test cases
•Occasionally working after hours or on weekends (with prior approval)
Qualifications
Mandatory Qualifications:
•A university degree in Computer Science or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
•8+ years of application programming and analysis experience
•3+ years of experience with CA Gen version 8.5 or higher
•Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
•Ability to start work on-site in Fredericton, New Brunswick, as required
Preferred/Scored Qualifications:
•5+ years of strong problem-solving experience, including optimizing existing solutions
•1+ year of experience with JBoss and/or Tomcat
•5+ years of experience with service management processes/tools (e.g., incident, change, request, release management)
•2+ years of experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
•2+ years of experience working in UNIX/Linux environments
•5+ years of experience with SQL development
•1+ year of experience using version control software
•1+ year of experience supporting public sector healthcare applications/systems in Canada
