Position: Aircraft Production Worker (Permanent)
Location: North Saanich
Start Date: January 2025
Hourly Wage:
$27/hour (Non-experienced)
$29/hour to $34/hour (Dependent on experience)
Hours (must be comfortable working both shifts):
(6:00 AM – 4:30 PM), Monday to Thursday
(4:30 PM – 3:00 AM), Monday to Thursday
Breaks: Two 15 minute coffee breaks, and a half hour lunch break

Responsibilities
• Study and interpret engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine assembly requirements
• Use hand tools, power tools, and machinery to cut, shape, and form sheet metal components according to specifications
• Assemble sheet metal parts and components to create sub-assemblies or finished products, ensuring adherence to strict quality standards
• Conduct inspections of assembled components to verify accuracy, quality, and compliance with aerospace industry standards
• Use precision measuring instruments to check dimensions and tolerances, adjusting as needed
• Handle and store sheet metal materials safely, maintaining proper organization and inventory control
• Collaborate with manufacturing team members, including engineers and machinists, to ensure seamless integration of sheet metal components into larger assemblies
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe and efficient work environment
Qualifications
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required
• Technical or trade qualifications, certificates, or training are considered an asset
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check
• More than 2 years of experience in manufacturing, aerospace, warehousing, or construction is preferred
• Proficient in operating a range of hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal fabrication machinery
• Capable of interpreting and understanding drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
• Dedicated to maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to all safety guidelines
• Must possess and maintain the legal right to work in Canada
