Responsibilities
Responsibilities of the Production Team Member – OP 1 Corrugated / Foam Float
Operate Production Equipment**: Efficiently run and monitor machinery in the corrugated and foam production areas.
Unitize and Palletize Products**: Secure and organize finished products at the end of the machine and prepare them for transport.
Manage Scrap Material**: Strip and remove scrap from foam sheets and boxes; operate a band saw; bale scrap material.
Documentation**: Create and apply tags (Amtech) to loads and complete necessary quality and production reports.
Assist Operators**: Provide support to machine operators and other team members to ensure smooth production.
Foam Department Tasks**: Assist with machine operation, product manipulation, and team-based assembly work in the foam department.
Maintain Cleanliness and Safety**: Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
Physical Labor**: Perform tasks requiring bending, lifting, and standing, both indoors and outdoors.
Additional Duties**: Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisors to support production goals.
Qualifications
- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent.
- **Experience**: Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is a plus.
- **Technical Skills**: Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications; proficient in taking measurements in both metric and imperial systems.
- **Safety Awareness**: Knowledge of and commitment to safe work practices.
- **Physical Ability**: Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
