Responsibilities
Plan the production of finished goods to meet forecasts and customer demand by creating production schedules based on available materials and resources, using capacity analysis and packaging requirements. Analyze the cost trade-offs in production planning to maximize plant efficiency while meeting customer expectations, sanitary requirements, preventive maintenance schedules, and inventory control. Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Warehousing (Distribution) teams to ensure timely product delivery and maintain product code dates according to business-specific requirements.
Plan the production of raw materials and finished goods by identifying and maintaining ingredient inventory levels, advising the production team on required quantities, and monitoring volumes to ensure availability. Support business development by identifying optimal timing for new product launches in collaboration with external groups when needed.
When applicable, maintain the supply of raw materials (e.g., milk) to meet product demand by determining required volumes based on forecasts and placing orders with the provincial milk board in coordination with the logistics and planning manager and the production manager.
Control inventory of packaging and ingredients by coordinating stock counts within the system (SAP) and managing purchasing activities. When necessary, reconcile plant variances on an ongoing basis, for specific periods, and for year-end accounting purposes.
Qualifications
Posséder de trois (3) à cinq (5) ans d’expérience en gestion d’inventaire de production ou dans un poste similaire, idéalement dans un environnement de fabrication alimentaire.
Démontrer de solides aptitudes au travail d’équipe et un bon esprit de collaboration.
Capacité à travailler de façon autonome avec un minimum de supervision.
Excellentes compétences en communication interpersonnelle, tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit.
Compétences éprouvées en organisation et en planification.
Capacité à comprendre l’impact financier des procédures de contrôle d’inventaire.
Solides compétences d’analyse des niveaux d’inventaire, des activités de production et des processus de vente.
Maîtrise des outils informatiques tels que Lotus Notes, la suite Microsoft Office, ainsi que des systèmes de logistique, de distribution et le système SAP.
