The Production Manager is responsible for the packaging department, including the day-to-day management of all activities required to execute the production plan. He/she will also be responsible for the management of all production and technical personnel associated with the department. In addition to dealing with planning and purchasing, as this has an impact on the activities and results of his department.

Starting salary depending on experience between 110K and 130K.

Responsibilities
The Production Manager will ...
- Support the implementation of the company's Lean culture;
- Manage human resources to support production execution;
- Review weekly, or as needed, the human resources requirements report based on projected and planned products;
- Be responsible for the development and training of all human resources to support the organization's objectives as well as the short- and long-term production plan;
- Coordinate within the department and with the functional support structure daily activities to execute operational plans within pre-established cost, quality and service parameters;
- Manage and improve production systems within the department;
- Manage the Human Resources aspects of the sector (communication, training, personnel evaluation, lay-offs);
- Analyze technical requirements (maintenance, downtime systems, equipment needs);
- Engage team in health & safety (needs, training, promotion of safe work
safe work behaviors);
- Engage team in manufacturing products to quality standards (compliance with
GMP and other requirements);
- Develop and execute action plans for health and safety, quality, service, productivity
productivity, waste and costs;
- Develop standards and annual budget;
- Evaluate and analyze equipment installations related to the department;
- Develop and present improvement projects;
- Participate in equipment and facility purchasing decisions for the
department.
Qualifications
You must have:
- Bachelor's degree in science or engineering ;
- At least 8 years' experience in the manufacturing industry;
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar position;
- Mastery of LEAN and continuous improvement concepts;
- Experience in managing a team of around 100 employees (an asset);
- Bilingualism essential (French and English).
