Responsibilities
Product Backlog Management
• Develop, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog based on business value and stakeholder input.
• Write detailed user stories, acceptance criteria and maintain epics with medium support to ensure clear communication of requirements to the development team.
• Continuously refine and adjust the backlog to reflect changing business priorities and feedback. Map backlog and assigned work to Automation KPIs and roadmap.
• Review completed user stories against acceptance criteria to ensure they meet the desired quality and functionality.
Stakeholder Engagement
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including developers, BAs, SMEs, business leaders, and other product team members, to gather requirements and feedback.
• Ensure stakeholders are informed of the automation progress, timelines, and any changes in priorities.
• Act as the voice of the customer/business unit within the development team.
Sprint Planning and Execution
• Leads Agile ceremonies and meetings, including sprint planning to align on priorities and set clear goals for each sprint.
• Work closely with the Scrum Master and development team to ensure that user stories are well understood and achievable within the sprint timeframe.
• Attend daily stand-up meetings to provide clarifications and support to the team as needed.
Product Vision and Strategy
• Contribute to the overall product vision and strategy by providing insights from BU interactions and market research.
• Ensure that the development team understands the broader context and goals of the product.
• Align product features and enhancements with the strategic objectives of the organization. Understands the hierarchy of work and work products and can define Epics & User Stories
• Can assess performance of work output and identify the need to adjust plans and replan work
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field (Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) is a plus).
• Experience in automation a plus
• 5+ years of proven experience as a Product Owner/ Product Manager, or in a similar role in a software development environment.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and principles.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal), negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Proficiency with Agile tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
• Strong understanding of product management principles and methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong core consulting skills (demonstrated track record of quality delivery, interpersonal and cross-functional relationship skills)
• Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering executive level presentations.
• Ability to drive results independently but thrives in collaborative environments
• Has a deep desire to learn and improve by seeking, accepting, and acting on productive feedback
• Desire and ability to learn quickly and work in an agile environment
• Demonstrated leadership; mentorship, visionary, clarity of purpose, motivated, relentless execution
• Experience leading product teams with diverse range of skill sets, locations and direct and in direct reporting relationships
