Responsibilities
Develop and commercialize new food and beverage products in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Formulate and test recipes, conduct lab trials and sensory evaluations, and monitor shelf-life and product performance.
Support scale-up and production trials to ensure formulations are optimized for manufacturing and cost efficiency.
Stay on top of market and consumer trends to help guide product innovation and improvements.
Ensure full regulatory compliance with relevant food safety standards and labeling requirements.
Collaborate with suppliers and sourcing teams to identify ingredients that meet technical and quality specifications.
Maintain clear and accurate documentation throughout the development process.
Troubleshoot formulation or process challenges and support ongoing quality improvements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, or a related field
3+ years of experience in food and beverage product development
Strong knowledge of food formulation, processing, and manufacturing
Familiarity with HACCP, GMP, CFIA/FDA regulations, and food labeling standards
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
